Believe it or not Evan and I met on the internet. The very first time I saw him was in Hickory at
Valley Hills Mall. I look right into his eyes and smiled as he gave me the most perfect smile in
return. I didn't give him a hug until we reached the bowling alley. The hug was so strong, so warm.
It was the most amazing feeling I've ever felt. I was very nervous but I felt so comfortable. As the night
went on he began to warm up and talk more as well as I. I finally got up the confidence to sit on his lap.
He put his arms around me and held me tight. It felt like I was meant to be there or like I was supposed
to meet him. After bowling we went to Wal-Mart and walked around before we went to get something to
eat. We talked a little more getting to know each other a little...thats when I learned that he was shy
just like me when I actually meet someone new face to face. Kristen and I rode with him and Chris to
get something to eat. But what got my attention was when he opened the door for me when we got into
the car. That impressed me a little. Anyway, they ate at Wendys. We rode around a little more before
we went back to get my vehicle. Thats when he made the first move to kiss me. I was relieved because
I didnt know if kissing on the first date was his thing. The kiss was AWSOME! He got scared and pulled
back...which is perfectly fine. I enjoyed it though. After that Kristen and I went home while the guys followed
us to find a hotel in Lenoir. The next day which was Saturday I met them at Wal-Mart. We walked around
for a little while and then they went back with me to my grandmothers house. The best part about that was
when we took the walk through the woods. Chris was navigator! LoL. Evan kept me close....I loved it! On
the way back to the house we stopped to take a little break. Evan sat on a stump and I sat on his lap. Then
we walked back and Evan discovered, when he tried to get out of a chair to sit beside of me, that he had
sap on the back of his pants. It was kind of funny but I saw his face turned a little red... When we went inside
we went to my room and watch a movie. Thats when I called Kristen and made her feel bad for standing
up Chris. All in all the best part of the weekend was before they left to go back to base. Evan held me close
took a deep breath and told me "I want you to be my girl", thats when my heart melted. That night I cried.
Now as of March 3, 2004 we have been dating for 2 months. Its been the most amazing 2 months of
my life. I know he's the one for me. I have this feeling inside of me and I know that Im falling in love with
him. I knew for sure that I was falling in love when he came to see me at Valentine's. Thats another
memorable weekend. He brought me 3 roses, a candle set, chocolate, and a card. Also he took me out
to eat at Sagebrush (thats where I wanted to go). The best part of the gifts was when he gave me that
card. It has words that mean so much. I cried when I read it. It was so perfect because the words came
straight from his heart. Every weekend that he comes to see me it gets even harder for him to leave and
for me to let him go. I want him here with me. Its ok though because he will be with me everyday sometime
in the future. I plan to stay with him for a VERY long time!
As of January 3, 2005 Evan and I will be together for 1 year.
Travel the U.S.
Graduate college.
Spending the rest of our lives together.
